Service Description

Come and join me for a taster class to see if weekly yoga is an investment you would like to make in yourself!! I really believe that what I offer has the ability to bring some stillness, grounding and connection to your week in a period of time that is often so heightened and the postnatal nervous system is left frazzled. Through these classes I have witnessed mums walking out of the room calmer, energised, stronger and incredible friendships be born. This gorgeous class aims to restore and strengthen your body in its postpartum journey whilst honouring all that it has been through. The postures, movements and breathing exercises will release tension, build strength and mobility and hold an emphasis on pelvic floor health, back ache and any tummy separation (diastasis recti). The gentle baby yoga incorporated supports babies development of balance, coordination and motor skills whilst prompting a sense of playfulness, calm and relaxation. This is an informal class, where you can participate as much or as little as you feel able to/your babe allows you to! Feel free to feed, change, snuggle your babe as much as you wish and if you both just want to sleep on the mat, I will pop a blanket over you and deliver a cup of tea at the end of the session! More than anything I hope this class provides a way of meeting other mums and babies to build a community around you that is so very important in facilitating postnatal recovery. Postnatal yoga is suitable from 6 weeks postpartum if you have had a straight forward vaginal birth. If you have had an instrumental birth or caesarean birth please wait until 12 weeks postpartum. You must be given the all clear from your GP that it is safe for you to now take part in physical exercise. Whilst the class aims to support postnatal recovery, if you are a parent who hasn't given birth, you are still more than welcome to join, yoga is beneficial for all!

Cancellation Policy

I teach these classes in blocks/courses so I'm afraid if you miss any classes you cannot carry them over and your block must be used consecutively. However, I am happy for you to send someone in your place if you know anyone that would like to try the class in your absence. I am unable to offer a refund on the full course unless the place is rebooked by another client - in which case I will let you know.
